Bumper is made of 8" steel channel that is 1" thick on the flat surface you see the license plate bolted to. "Steps" are made from standard 8" channel. Drop section for the reciever is made of 1/2" steel plate and has a Shelton tube mounted in it. Dock bumpers on either end were there when I bought the truck (steps were not, I added them). The back is reinforced with 1/2" x 2" steel stock in a "V" from the top outside corners to the bottom center and the brackets that run up the outside of the frame rails are made of 1/2" x 6" steel stock. One heavy duty (and HEAVY) bumper. Hooks on either side of the pintle hook are chain hooks welded on for safety chains.
